May 27, 2025: Observation of M×g plantations in Chomutov, Czech Republic
On May 27, 2025 Prof. Valentyna Pidlisniuk, NPD visited Research station in Chomutov, Czech Agrifood Research Centre. Two M×g research plantations are located in the vicinity of the station, i.e.: one was established in 2021 at the marginal land of the former military site, where 2 doses of biochar are tested multiyear along with sewage sludge, digestate and paper sludge. The new M×g plantation was established in 2025 at the brownfield of military origin where two doses of wood ash are tested.
Prof. Pidlisnyuk inspected vegetation at both plantations. The maintaining of plantation and selected agrochemical analysis are doing in cooperation with the Czech Agrifood Research Centre. Prof. Pidlisnyuk overviewed the collection of the soil samples at 2025 M×g plantation was done by UJEP PhD students Abdulmannan Rouhani and Basma Ghazwa, researcher Robert Ato Newton. Erasmus student Lidia Błażałek, University of Lodz, Poland assisted in sampling as well. The soil samples will be analyzed for the content of C, H, N, S, O at NULP, Ukraine at the purchased within G6094 equipment Analyzer and Pyrolysis furnace.
