September 15-19, 2025: Dissemination results of the NATO G6094 project at the RemTech Europe Conference 2025, Ferrara, Italy

On September 15-19, 2025 the International Conference “RemTech 2025” was organized in Ferrara, Italy which is a premier international event focused on remediation and sustainable development solutions. It brings together experts, service providers and stakeholders to share knowledge, innovations and real-world case studies in remediation of natural resources. The goal of this outstanding annual event under the supervision of European Commission and ISPRA is to promote sustainable technologies and improve remediation practices. The event encourages open dialogue, fosters collaboration and highlights global trends. The event is commonly provided within RemTech Show & Exhibition.

This year event was designed in a hybrid form: September 15-16 it was fully online, while on September 17-19 it was in a mixed form (more at https://remtechexpo.com/remtech-europe/).

On behalf of NATO G6094 team two oral reports were delivered at the conference, specifically, a report “Efficiency of PGPR-biochar catalyst in optimization of Zea mays L. cultivation in marginal soil” was introduced at the session 45 “Biochar Application in Soil Remediation” on behalf of Aigerim Mamirova, Almagul Baubekova, Zhuldyz Batykova, Tatyana Stefanovska, Abdulmannan Rouhani, Hana Burdova, and Valentina Pidlisnyuk and report “Soil Remediation and Waste Diversion through Wood Ash Reuse in Bioenergy Cropping Systems” introduced by prof. Pidlisnyuk at the session 46 “Waste-Based approach for Soil recovery” on behalf of Abdulmannan Rouhani, Valentina Pidlisnyuk, Karim Suhail Al Souki, Sergej Ust’ak, Vojtěch Váňa, Andrzej Cezary Żołnowski.

During the conference NDP Valentina Pidlisnyuk and Co-Director Tatyana Stefanovska had a number of meetings and minutes where the results of NATO G6094 were disseminated, i.e. with Antar Sarkar and Akmab Baneyca, Virunova company specialized bio-inspired sustainable engineering design; Brant Smith, Director of Technology in Evonik Corporation; Dr. Massimo Zacchini, Research Institute on Terrestrial Ecosystems, Italy; Erica Oldani and Anna Bonfanti, IT’E firm, Milan, Italy.

Prof. Pidlisnyuk had an organizational meeting with Dr. Marko Falconi, Scientific Leader of the RemTech, contaminated sites expert and Researcher at ISPRA and overviewed perspectives of collaboration in dissemination NATO SPS MYP G6094 results.
