September 17-19, 2025: Participation of UJEP Phytotechnology team at the International Scientific conference Applied Natural Science 2025

PhD student Abdulmannan Rouhani, supervised by Prof. Michal Hejcman and Prof. Valentina Pidlisnyuk, participated in the International Scientific Conference Applied Natural Sciences 2025 (ANS 2025), which was held on September 17-19, 2025 in Štrbské Pleso, Slovakia. On behalf of co-authors Andriy Hertz, Oleksandr Kononchuk, Victor Markiv, Oksana Horyn, Volodymyr Khomenchuk, Pavlo Shapoval and Valentina Pidlisnyuk, Abdulmannan Rouhani introduced Poster presentation entitled “Valorization of Miscanthus × giganteus Biomass Ash for Soil Improvement and Plant Growth Support”. This research was done within the framework of the NATO SPS MYP G6094 project.

During the poster session and followed discussion, participants showed a strong interest to the study asking why soil and plant responses were positive at low doses of ash, however, declined at the higher doses, how the results might compare with conventional soil amendments, and whether the findings could be applied on a larger scale in real agricultural or remediation projects.
