September 18, 2025: Participation of UJEP Phytotechnology team in the International Conference Innovative aspects of soil fertility conservation and enhancement during the war and Post-war period, Lviv, Ukraine
On September 18, 2025 the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Aspects of Soil Fertility Conservation and Enhancement during the War and Post-War Periods” was held in the hybrid form in Lviv, Ukraine.
UJEP PhD student Ghazwa Basma, supervised by Professor Valentyna Pidlisnyuk and Dr. Karim Al Souki, participated in the event virtually. She introduced the initial results of influence the soil amendment-ash to the M×g Phytotechnology and plant’s bio parameters received at the 2025 Miscanthus plantation in the oral presentation entitled “Wood Ash Applications in Brownfield Soil Rehabilitation and Supporting Miscanthus Cultivation”. This research has been conducted within the framework of the NATO SPS MYP G6094 and “RUR – Region to University, University to Region” – project, co-funded by the European Union”.
After the presentation PhD student Ghazwa Basma answered to questions about the origin and characteristics of the ash utilized in the Miscanthus field trial, practical considerations of M×g Advanced Phytotechnology and particular elements of the advancing sustainable soil rehabilitation strategies.
